Build your own working LEGO combination safe
I never thought it could be done, but it’s possible to build your own fully-functional LEGO combination safe. Merijn van Wouden has shown us how to do just that with detailed step-by-step instructions and a cool video to show how the mechanisms work. I’m astounded.

This is total technicaLEGO awesomeness. I’ve gotta try to make this with my own collection. How long did it take to make this?

I love it! Now to miniaturize the mechanism a little more and make a working minifig Town bank vault. ;) Amazing work.

Wow, that’s an awesome safe. Of course, it could be improved by covering the studs with tiles.
The mechanism looks like it was hard to come up with, so I applaud the creator.
I also faved the instructable for later, if I get the pieces to make it. :)

Anything is possible with LEGO…

Stuff like this always fascinates me.
Of course, it would be simpler to un-build the door! There are ways to make it un-un-buildable though, using technic beams…

Make it un-un-buildable… Now that would be seriously cool. Better not forget the combination than. :)

Now that’s cool.
