Somewhat disappointing, although talking the LEGO Universe reps, it's clear they want to get the game firing on all cylinders straight out of the gate. If holding back a year or two means a seamless, fun game experience for both the TLG core audience and AFOLs from the moment it goes live, that's fine by me.

Of course, this vaguely bitter pill would go down better knowing the two new Pirate torsos (Brickbeard design but in red and new blue torso) and Pirate head (handlebar mustache with eye patch) find their way into the next wave of Pirate sets ;)

... doesn't work for me, though :P

I'm not really all that bent out of shape about it, but I hope someone got fired over getting the ETA off by 2 yrs????? Holy Cowamokie!

I'm sure it'll be a great game, and their upcoming sets for 2009 look the best ever, so I'll cut em' a little slack -- for now! ;)
