Didn’t this event happen on a bridge?
I thought so, but a bridge with empty air beyond doesn’t make a very cool backdrop for the LEGO diorama. ;-)
The scene in my diorama is as historically and geographically correct as as I could come up with in a single night’s research. The assassination didn’t actually happen on a bridge, but about 30-40 yards from the “Latin Bridge”. You can see the bridge and the building in my diorama (er… a non-compressed version anyway) in this 360 degree panoramic view taken from the spot where the assassin stood:
