I’m from Malaysia and I’m thrilled there will be a LEGOLAND here. Can’t wait till 2013. Btw, I think this will be the first LEGOLAND in Asia. Dubai isn’t exactly asia…

i hope this will be managed well, and not fall into disuse and mismanagement like most other amusement parks in malaysia.

just to let u guys know, the international airport closest to the state of johor is actually singapore’s changi airport, not the international airport in the capital of malaysia, kuala lumpur. the idea here is probably to capture the fat wallet singapore market, and those who arrive through there, knowing full well that the majority of malaysian families might not be able to afford the admission fees, let alone the expensive lego sets.

i hope this will:
1. lower lego prices for malaysians and singaporeans.
2. boost tourism in high-crime johor, because johor is not really an interesting place to hang around.

Upon scheduled opening this would not in fact be the first Legoland park in Asia but the first in East Asia, assuming that the park in Dubai opens before this one in the year 2011.
