Rock & Norbi> I understand that you got it but possibly other readers wouldn’t so I wanted to spell out in full where I think the problem lay. The system is terribly flawed but I don’t think the flaw lies here.

And for what it’s worth I would have preferred Adrian to have the spot as he had received more votes and I’ve already been nominated in other places. I don’t consider my spot for TBB to be earned, it is merely pragmatic.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against the current nominees and i wasn’t criticizing the system that was used, i was just rooting for Adrian, and i couldn’t believe that there wasn’t anyone else to write a testimonial for him!
too bad, people who voted for him should have backed him up! This goes for all of you others who haven’t written something for the guys you voted for.

Rocko & Demeter> Given that Andrew explained the situation in the application and no-one here wrote the rules I don’t see that he or Josh (as coordinators) could have done anything more. Would you have preferred just two valid nominees for TBB?

As to the application system… why a group of four people can potentially put forth the same number of nominees as a blog with a voting readership of five hundred is beyond me. The longer the application process went on the more flaws I saw in it, even disregarding the excessive work placed on the application collators. If I get a spot in the program I’ll be raising that as an issue.

Well apparently I’m stumbling upon this too late.

I just have to say that I find it funny that there weren’t enough people to write three testimonials. Thanks for the support though, here’s hoping next time I’ll do better.

I see that now but for some reason I was under the impression that testimonials were supplementary. If I would have understood the intricacies I would have made it a point to write a few. Sorry Adrian.
