I like how IZZO formed the face and mouth area!!! In some way this creation reminds me of the old electrolux vacuum cleaners, and I am not sure why?? Perhaps the chest area…hmmm

Kawabonga: Your second comment doesn’t have anything to do with either Izzo’s mecha (which is what this post is about) or LEGO in general (which is what this blog is about). Please stay on topic.
Lego Shark: I don’t disagree with your comment (see above), but let’s leave the moderating to the pros, shall we?
Both: I appreciate your enthusiasm about LEGO and this blog. It’s active readers who show interest that make it worth the effort to post new things. I don’t mean to come down on you guys too hard, but please do bear in mind that you’re only two of about 1,000 people who visit this site every day. I don’t want to tell you not to post comments, but please do think before you post (a good rule of thumb anywhere on the Internet).

I really love the design of this thing. It’s got a classic look that seems just like those old Gundam sets and stuff I always see while I’m walking around Chinatown in San Francisco. The color and the photography help with that feel. At the same time, there’s great use of new(er) parts like the 1×1 and curved slopes.
